Finally wedding season is here again! I kicked off my 2013 season with a down home country Virginia barn wedding for Sarah and Matt at The Adams International School. I still remember getting the first email from Sarah last year talking about her and Matt and their wedding plans! She was so excited about the DIY details they were planning like the bridesmaids bouquets made from book pages since she is a teacher! I loved the mason jars painted with chalkboard paint featuring the guests names and they even made one for me and my second shooter! I’ve been using it all week to drink my sweet tea from :).
Sarah and Matt have one of those adorable stories of meeting in kindergarten! They managed to grow up in the same area but didn’t really connect till their 10 year reunion. I guess fate knew they needed some time to grow up before love could blossom! Blossom it did with Sarah moving 2000 miles from LA to Nashville to be with Matt. I love stories like that! Sarah is now Matt’s number 1 fan at his music gigs and I hope they let me know next time he plays up in our area!
This was one of those weddings that I wished my hubby and I were guests at because I felt right at home! Sarah and Matt’s families were so sweet and inviting and you could tell everyone was having such a great time hanging out. I wish Sarah and Matt a lifetime of happiness, wine and country music! Enjoy the photos!
