Nautical Northern Neck Wedding
Remember that time I posted to Facebook that we had a 6ft long party crasher at one of my weddings and I stepped right over him without realizing it? Yep that was Paige & Matt’s nautical Northern Neck wedding that it happened at! Have I mentioned that I have one of those crazy phobias about snakes, as in getting too close to one usually has me in hysterics. Been that way since I was a kid!
David and I were chatting as we walked over to the bridal suite and I stepped up onto the curb from the road not noticing the 6ft long black snake hanging out in the crevice. I walked right over him!!! I only figured it out when I turned around to see David air crawling behind me sputtering SNAKE! It slithered down into a drain and we notified the valet guys. Unfortunately that was the second time they had grabbed him that day and moved him. The first time my lovely bride Paige happened to be looking out the window of the bridal suite and she watched them bring the snake down by the cottage near the water and drop it in the lawn. She was a bit shocked to say the least!
Luckily the rest of the day went off without a hitch! Paige & Matt decided to do a First Look and shared letters they had wrote to each other. It was beautiful and such a great way to spend a few moments together before all the craziness. I hope that is a memory that they will keep with them always. The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony overlooking the water at The Tides Inn. Cindy from The Wild Bunch created a gorgeous floral pergola for their ceremony backdrop. Kendall Webre the wedding planner had everything running smoothly from start to finish!
My favorite detail was the petal exit Paige planned after saying I do! I love that classic image of the bride and groom kissing under a barrage of rose petals. I don’t think that moment every gets old!
Tidewater & Tulle’s editors loved Paige and Matt’s rehearsal dinner and wedding and featured them both on their wedding blog to inspire more brides!
