Potomac River Waterfront Wedding
Potomac River Waterfront Wedding – This doesn’t happen very often but I totally talked my hubby into moving a trip we had planned so I could shoot this wedding entirely based off how Natalie described her plans to me! I remember when she contacted me and told me our mutual newborn photographer had referred her to me for wedding photos. She described an elegant family centered wedding on the water on family property and I was completely in love with her vision! I was so bummed I couldn’t shoot it since we had a family trip planned but it kept sticking with me and I talked to David and he said if you want to shoot it that bad we can move our trip. Aagh I love that guy!

I am so glad we were able to make it work because Natalie & John’s wedding was exactly the dream wedding I wish I could shoot every weekend. Family property that the groom grew up visiting, nestled right on the banks of Aquia Creek right around the corner from the Potomac River which we sail all the time. A beautiful tent filled with long tables draped in greenery and rose gold accents! The most amazing tree limb pergola with gorgeous flowers from Jane Guerin Florals. The beautiful ribbon streaming from the bride’s bouquet, the hand painted welcome sign and the gold lanterns from the bride’s favorite store Target, lol! Natalie and I have a shared love of Target that is to the point where we have bought the same stuff or I see something that I think is totally her only to see her post about buying it later that week!

Natalie and John have two of the most adorable children and they were big parts of the wedding day! I love that and I think it represents what a modern family looks like today. For Natalie & John their children are the centers of their worlds. Being able to unite together in this ceremony was the last piece of the puzzle, they were a family before and mommy and daddy before but now they are husband and wife!

Leave these two love, if they get 25 comments on this blog post, they will receive a complimentary 8×10″ print of their favorite wedding day image.
