I first met Megan and Joey last spring, she found my work online and sent me the sweetest email to setup a consult! Their wedding was over a year away but she was in full on planning mode with her mom! After that consult we did engagement photos then bridal portraits and finally their Jepson Alumni Center wedding day! In that year she and I have traded frequent emails and become friends on Facebook where I get to see photos of her and Joey’s cutie pie chocolate lab puppy Gemma! She has been so excited for this day to finally arrive and I am thrilled for them both now that they are officially husband and wife!!
Megan told me she would be a wreck once we got into the 10 day weather forecast and I remembered we were dodging rain trying to schedule their engagement session too. Luckily the rain cleared out and we were greeted to a spectacular day with gorgeous blue skies and warm temperatures! This was my first time shooting a wedding at The Jepson Executive Alumni Center in Downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia. It was such a beautiful Virginia wedding venue!! So many fun places for photos from the guys getting ready in the boardroom to the awesome cocktail hour space with black and white floor tiles. I bet I could shoot there dozen more times and still find new places for photos! The venue was just the start of the great vendors Megan and Joey chose for their wedding including two of my favorites GoGo Gorgeous for makeup and Deb Porter from I Do’s to Remember as their officiant! Plus a new favorite the guys from Classic Entertainment. They had the dance floor rocking plus incorporated some fun elements like a limbo bar, a foam machine and I spied hula hoops at one point!
Megan looked gorgeous in her dress and the purple dresses she chose for her bridesmaids were perfect! It was a great color combination with the guys gray suits! When the guys came out for their groomsmen pics in their vests with purple ties, purple patterned socks and shades I knew we were going to have some fun. They looked good and they knew it! Megan and Joey have been my sweetest couple, I am so happy that I got to be the one to capture their memories from their amazing wedding day! They complement each other so well and are so in love with each other! My second shooter Lindsey said to me at one point that you can tell Joey adores Megan just by how he looks at her. I knew exactly what she was talking about I remember seeing it at their engagement session and when she walked down the aisle to him. He couldn’t keep his eyes off her! I really am so excited for this couple, I can’t wait to see honeymoon pics and of course more pics of Gemma!
Congratulations Megan and Joey! Your wedding was perfect and amazing, I’m so glad I was there to share it and photograph it for you!
Love these cufflinks! Shout out to Joey’s favorite team!
Amazing shoes! I love the brooch detail at the toes and the color was perfect!
The bracelet was Megan’s something old and borrowed I believe, it was her grandmothers and you can see the note on the box giving it to her mom!
It’s a Non First Look First Look! Say that 3x fast :)! This was so much fun but definitely took planning to ensure they couldn’t see each other!
Love, love, love this shot!!!
Such a cute added detail, instead of boring black socks dress it up a little!
Yay!! Mr & Mrs Hetzel!!!
Awesome shot by my second shooter Lindsey!! I like her angle better then mine :)
Gorgeous makeup by the lovely Kristen of GoGo Gorgeous!

I love this drawing of Megan’s dress and Joey’s suit for their signature board!
