There are some moments during a wedding that I find myself putting down the camera for just a minute and reminding myself to be in the moment with my couples. Not observing through the lens but with my own eyes. At Jenn and Scott’s Chestnut Hill Bed and Breakfast wedding that moment was during their vows. They each wrote personalized vows to each other and as they read them to each other I felt the sincerity and love they had for the other. What started off as a sarcastic comment to the other on a message board turned into a friendship and now a lifelong partnership in marriage.
Jenn and Scott chose the Chestnut Inn BnB for their wedding day backdrop. The history of the house is pretty neat as it was slated to be demolished because it was blocking what was going to be a new access road to a local school. Instead it went up for auction and was purchased for $1! Who says you can’t buy anything for a buck now a days ;). Of course the costs to move it and restore it to historical accuracy were much more than $1. Now it sits on a beautiful hilltop with plenty of space for weddings. The ceremony space was perfect with a fountain and columns setting the backdrop. A passing summer storm left us a bit hot and humid so I know Jenn and Scott were enjoying the slight spray from the cool fountain water in the soft breeze.
I was so honored to be a part of their wedding day festivities, the ceremony was very intimate for family and best friends only. Everyone was so welcoming that I felt like an old family friend instantly! Jenn has an interest in photography and her best friend is a photographer so from the moment I walked in everything in the bridal suite was staged beautifully for photos. After the ceremony Jenn and Scott had their first dance on the lawn which I thought was so nice and the Inn provided a beautiful backdrop.
Jenn and Scott thank you for choosing me to capture your beautiful wedding day! I wish you guys all the happiness in the world as you start your new lives with Connor!
