5 Bridal Hairstyles for Your Wedding Day

Once you find your dress and your jewelry, it’s now time to decide on some options for Bridal Hairstyles! Many brides usually determine if they will be wearing a veil or not. You’d be surprised how many girls think they are not into veils until they try one on. I can say this from experience! For me, the veil made me truly feel like a bride! Once you decide yay or nay to the veil you can figure out your options for your hair. I’ve pulled together 5 different bridal hairstyles to help you decide how to wear your hair on your wedding day!

Hair down and curled

Some brides like to have their hair down and just curled to give it some volume. Whether you do it yourself, have one of your bridesmaids’ help, or hire someone to do it, they can help you determine how you would like it curled. Be sure to use lot’s of hairspray to keep it where you want it. I also recommend some strategically placed bobby pins so you aren’t brushing it out of your face all day.

Half pinned up and hair curled

This style is becoming very popular. Lots of brides want their hair curled and have half of their hair pinned up. This looks beautiful no matter if you have a veil or not. This look also gives the option if you have a veil to take it off later and your hair still looks beautiful and styled. This was my personal style choice for my wedding so I think it’s a good one ;)!

Curled and pinned into a low bun

This is a classic look for brides. This helps your hair to stay off your neck, especially if you are having an outside wedding in a warmer climate. This also helps if you are wanting a veil as it will help keep the veil in place. This hairstyle is always flattering and looks wonderful!

Curled and pinned in a medium-high bun

This is a traditional look that brides love as well. This look helps to keep your hair up when you have details on the back of your dress that you would like to show off. You can get super fancy with this style pinning your curls into an elegant updo. Or channel Audrey Hepburn with a simple classic bun!

Curled and pinned to the side

This style works well for the bride that is a bit less formal, it has a wild and free vibe while still being elegant. By being pinned up it is a great option to show off the beautiful details of your dress straps or back. I love this look and will have to try it for my next formal event!

I love how your bridal hairstyle choice really ties into your personality and the overall feeling of your wedding. I’ve even had some brides opt for an updo for the more formal part of the day and then let their hair down for the reception!

To figure out which one you would like on your wedding day, do a couple test runs. Most hair stylists or salons will do a couple trial runs for you to figure out which style you would like best. I recommend doing a trial run so that you don’t stress about it on your wedding day. Check out some of our local stylists at GoGoGorgeous and Bobby Pins & Blush

Whichever hairstyle you choose, you will look beautiful on your wedding day. Choose the hairstyle that makes you truly feel like a bride!
