Now that you have got engaged, there are so many details to think about. One of the most important is the dress! It’s always an exciting time trying to figure out what dress you want to wear on your special day. Let’s look at what the 2018 wedding dress trends!
One trend that has come back over the last couple years is lace. The Victorian style dresses with lace detail are breathtaking and they are making a comeback in a big way. If you see a couple that you might like, try them on. You may come to love the look of it. My brides have been ahead of this trend for awhile and I’m loving seeing a classic make a comeback!
Another trend for this year is that other colored dresses will become more popular this year. A couple colors to expect are red, black, and yellow. Although white will always be the favorite for 2018 wedding dresses, these other colors are expected to make more of an appearance this year than previous years.
Bows have been expected to appear on wedding dresses this year. They have appeared on the front of the dress but off to the side a bit, on the back just above the butt, or middle back, depending on styles. More and more brides are searching for bows to accent the dress this season, so be on the lookout for that.
Bridal jumpsuits are having a moment, per Popsugar.com. Searches have increased for an elegant bridal pantsuit for brides to wear down the aisle. If you’re not into tradition and feel like a jumpsuit would be a better fit, go for it! It has the perks of keeping you warm with outside fall and winter weddings. Dress it up with a beautiful headpiece and enjoy your day!
I should also mention it means that you also will have pockets, which can be a girl’s best friend. If you love a great jumpsuit but aren’t sure about wearing one for your wedding it might make a great rehearsal dinner or bridal shower outfit!
Capes are becoming a more common accessory this wedding season. There are many different style capes that can bring elegance and class to your wedding day. Some dresses this season will come with capes as a must-have accessory to complete the wedding look.
Trends in 2018 Wedding Dresses
Some of these trends may not be your style and that is completely ok! You may see yourself in a ball gown, or knee length, or even a trumpet style dress. When you are trying on dresses, you will know the perfect dress when you see it.
So tell me are you planning to rock a 2018 Wedding Dresses trend? If so which one? I’m really loving the bows trend and jumpsuits for a pre-wedding party!
