I get people asking me all the time if I photograph anything other than weddings and the answer is yes I do!  While couples in love remain my favorite I’ve gotten the chance to stretch my legs and try out other forms of portrait photography including today’s maternity session.  I have not done a maternity session since my portfolio building days so it was  challenge, I mean what do you do with the big belly!  So I took what I know (how to photograph couples) and added in some emphasis on the belly.  I actually really like how it turned out!

This beautiful belly belongs to my baby sister and we did this session back in December when as a big family we all went Christmas tree shopping.  I think these photos were split between two different farms because my family never finds the right tree at the first farm and we needed 3 trees that day!  So why am I just posting this now?  Um because when it comes to photo shoots for my family I’m a total slacker.  Yep I don’t allow myself to procrastinate with clients but my family totally gets shafted.  Sorry guys!

So check out my gorgeous sister who looked absolutely stunning this day!  I totally covet that dress!  She had a beautiful baby boy in January and I promise to get his newborn photos up before he turns 6 months old ;)!

Ah a little medium format film thrown in the mix!
