Newborn Photography Springfield Va
It’s been a boy explosion in the great grandkids dept for my Gram or as the boys call her GrandGram! Gram has six grandkids and up until a few years ago we were all slacking on the providing future generations thing. But I got the ball rolling about 5 years ago with Will and this November Gram will be getting her 7th great-grandchild from one of my cousins. Six great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter. Yes it’s a boy explosion in our family!
Malcom here gets to be lucky number 6 in the birth order! Of course he has stolen his parent’s hearts but he’s doing a pretty good job on his sister Elise too. She was totally willing to interact with him for photos and at one point got mad at us for trying to take him away, lol!
Two Year Olds
When you are doing any kind of session with 2 year olds I’ve learned you have to go with the flow. They don’t take direction very well and there is always something more interesting than you to get into. So I’ve learned a few tricks in the process to distract them and to get them where I want without forcing them. What this means though is when you have a great shot of Dad with the baby and the 2 year old feels a little jealous and wants to sit by Daddy you yell at your cousin to run get in the bed behind her because this is the family shot we all want, lol!!! True story and Karen moved like lightning before Elise changed her mind!
Finding Yourself Again
I was so excited to see that Karen took all my advice in my How to Prepare for your Dream Newborn Session Planner and coordinated the family perfectly!
