When Amanda first contacted me for anniversary photos I was so excited! David and I are going on 9 years and I’m realizing more and more how important it is to stop and take time out to celebrate and remember our love. So I love that Amanda wanted to mark their 1 year anniversary with portraits of just the two of them!
I was happy to send over my What to Wear guide to help her get started planning their outfits. I know how overwhelming it can feel trying to figure out who should wear what, what colors look best on camera, what to avoid, etc. So all of my portrait session clients get advice and tips from me on what will look best for their photos! I even encourage sending me photos of your options so I can help you narrow things down or be the deciding voice.
Amanda reminded me a lot of myself in that she had a specific style of dress she really wanted to wear after reading my guide and set out on a hunt to find it. I am definitely that way, I see something I want and I want that exact one and if it isn’t the same I get disappointed. So I was a little worried she might not find the dress she loved but she totally nailed it! In fact she nailed it so well I really wanted to buy that same dress because it was so cute!
Downtown Fredericksburg was the perfect location for the session because I love to encourage my anniversary clients to go out on a date after we are done! You are already all dressed up, there are tons of amazing restaurants within walking distance and you’ve just spent an hour snuggling up together and remembering why you fell in love in the first place.
